New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to launch an intensive campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections starting Thursday, just a day after his holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela. With a focus on connecting with Delhi’s significant population of natives from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, CM Yogi aims to rally support for BJP candidates across various constituencies.
On the opening day of his campaign, CM Yogi is scheduled to address three public meetings:
- Kiraari Assembly Seat: At 3:30 pm, CM Yogi will speak at Durga Chowk in Prem Nagar, campaigning for Sultanpur-born BJP candidate Bajrang Shukla, who has strong ties to Eastern Uttar Pradesh’s local community.
- Karol Bagh Constituency: At 4:50 pm, he will address a gathering in the Devanagar neighborhood, backing BJP candidate Dushyant Gautam.
- Janakpuri Assembly Constituency: At 6:00 pm, the third meeting will take place on 40 Foota Road, Pankha Road, in support of BJP candidate Ashish Sood.
According to sources cited by Jagran.com, CM Yogi plans to hold 14 public meetings over four days, including additional rallies on January 28, January 30, and February 1. The campaign will also cover constituencies such as Ghonda, Shahdara, Uttam Nagar, Dwarka, Bijwasan, Palam, Rajendra Nagar, and Patparganj, as he appeals to voters to choose BJP candidates for the 70-seat Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled for February 5.
CM Yogi’s strategic outreach underscores the BJP’s effort to consolidate support among migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, leveraging the strong cultural and emotional ties shared with Delhi’s electorate.
